Bruce Dean has worked as an exhibiting artist, editorial, corporate and advertising illustrator, international poster artist and art director for over thirty years. As an illustrator he received a silver medal from The Society of Illustrators and numerous awards of merit from national and international publications. His fine art posters and illustrations have been featured in many books and magazines. He has participated in over thirty gallery exhibitions nation-wide.

Since 2001 he has taught in the Summer Academic Enrichment Program at California State University, Northridge, and has lectured at various local universities and art schools, frequently hosting studio visits for high school and college classes. He is also the art director and set designer for the Millennium Talent Group an off-Broadway theater company in New York City, the art director and artist for Intelligent Life Games, an online game company based in Los Angeles, and the art director, artist co-producer and co-writer for the MATRIX Numericon series, which is funded by a federal Star Schools grant.

He has volunteered for seven years with the Special Olympics Foundation and as an art teacher, set designer and builder for a variety of elementary and high schools in southern California.
